This horizontal cedar privacy fence project in Shoreline, WA (98155) was designed to create stronger privacy, a clear property boundary, and a clean modern look. The existing yard felt open and exposed, with outdated and inconsistent sections of wood and chain link fencing that were no longer providing reliable separation. The homeowner wanted a fence that felt intentional, complemented the home and landscaping, and delivered long-term durability without constant maintenance or future adjustments.
We began by confirming the fence line and gate locations, then completed full removal and haul-away of the existing fencing. New pressure-treated jumbo posts were installed with concrete footings and finished flush for a polished, high-end appearance. From there, we installed a Grade 1 horizontal cedar fence and built two matching horizontal cedar gates with clean framing and smooth alignment. The finished result provides strong privacy while maintaining a refined, modern aesthetic, with straight fence lines and a cohesive design that enhances the entire yard.
